Valley “Samples & Sips” is an outdoor food and beverage festival that will be held on Friday, May 2 at the Historic Lowell School Building. Come enjoy delicious samples from local food trucks and caterers, tasty sips from local wineries and breweries, live music, and more. All proceeds benefit the 34 nonprofit programs that United Way of Mesa County helps support! Learn more about United Way of Mesa County and our programs at www.unitedwaymesacounty.org. Tickets are $40 until May 1, or $45 day-of/at the gate. Free admission for children under 6 - but they must share your ticket/ food samples. spring with the 2025 edition of Sippin' for the Stacks: Garden Edition. This outdoor event is an opportunity for library lovers 21 and older to support the library while enjoying an evening in the library's Discovery Garden and 970West Studio. Sip your support while sharing an evening of camaraderie with heavy hors d'oeuvres, beverages, unique art activities, and live bluegrass music courtesy of Grand Junction's own Big Dominguez. Saturday May 3rd, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with entrance to the event at the 5th Street gate of the Discovery Garden. Tickets are limited, $40 in advance, and attendees must be 21 or older. PLEASE NOTE: Proof of age will be required at the door, and no attendees under 21 will be permitted entrance. NO REFUNDS will be provided for tickets purchased for underage participants. Our Maestro’s careful curation of pieces aimed at celebrating the Joy of our shared humanity, is a fitting season finale for a season aimed at elevating our audience, musicians and community. When to Arrive: Doors open one hour before the performance; most people arrive 40 minutes early. Concessions are available before the concert and at intermission. Dress Code: Wear what you like; dressing up is optional. General Guide for Applause: Clap for the Concertmaster, Conductor, and after each piece.
